Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club

Went to see Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club (Playhouse theatre) in London.

Here is my brief review:

The show is phenomenal. The wheelchair seats are in a prime position and the staff are lovely.

The pre show performance is great getting you in the mood.

The show itself is powerful and seeing how things happened so easily, a bit of complacency and optimism precedes the ending of the show. Very powerful. And so relevant to the current political climates.

The negative points are:
Accessible loo doesn’t have a widened door (only just got my powerchair in with a lot of difficulty with the door) and not any room to turn or really transfer. Good job I didn’t need assistance this time!

The wheelchair space is fine widthways, but is not very long (I think it’s probably at best 1.2m long-reference wheelchair length). No room if you need raised leg rests at all and once a wheelchair user is there, no way for anyone else to pass. I’d guess an active manual might be ok, but much larger will mean a struggle to fit imo.

Anyway, if this is manageable, then it’s an excellent show and the staff look after you well.
